I didn’t really know what I expected when watching Rotg the first time, but I did know that I was going to like Jack Frost. So as soon as the opening credits played, I literally died in my seat and turned to my friend and said, “How could they do this to me?” And then I promised myself that I would gif this as soon as I got the chance. Since some people seemed to like my previous comic about Jack and Jamie I thought I should draw you another little comic! (My sketchbook is turning into a ROTG anthology…)
I bet Jack would’ve liked to become an adult, too at some point. But children’s smiles make him feel better… And red noses from the cold are just cute.

I’m having this really weird headcanon. They look alike. OMG seriously. OMG. Jack Frost is Nightlight. Seriously. OMFG WHAT IS THIS FEELING- I’M GONNA CRY-
I actually think it IS him too. There is this picture too where we can see him with his staff :
And he was told to keep Mim happy… So what if after his sacrifice, Nightlight got reincarnated on Earth as a normal child, who was just as full of joy and just as brave, but when he died again since he was a magic creature to begin with, he became Jack Frost.
So much feels, isn’t it ? T_T

Ugly caption going here but I just really wanted to gif these because of their expressions. Jack’s of surprise, pain, and almost yearning, before remembering that Pitch was the one who just made the Guardians think he betrayed them and should very well want to hurt him. Then Pitch’s of rejection and the unexpectedness of the bit of hurt that it caused, before remembering that he’s the bad guy who shouldn’t need anybody in the first place. The facial expressions in this movie are just so beautifully done and insightful to what the characters are feeling.

So I just had this thought: What if Jack came to visit Jamie when he was older, college age maybe, and Jamie would still believe in him <3
And that’s why the movie needs a sequel.
